Design Goals

PrimaCode is working on a number of new software technologies for land surveyors that improve the defensibility of their work products while at the same time improving productivity and holding down the cost of training.

These software technologies provide land surveyors and other measuring professionals with totally new ways of looking at and solving old problems by implementing new, innovative and user-friendly programming paradigms.

The software products being developed by PrimaCode are designed to run on the Windows 7 operating system, as well as earlier versions of the Windows operating system.

But the real benefits of this product are the manner in which it allows the user to manipulate data, the speed at which it does it and its ability to provide better compliance with a number of the "rules of evidence" that govern the practice of land surveying.

Transform also automates the process of moving data to and from it, to other technologies, such as CAD environments and data collectors. Transform does this by providing a means of working with full precision values that can be copies and pasted into other technologies, such as CAD environments and data collectors. Using these techniques is both faster, less prone to keyboard entry errors and it eliminates round-off errors.

PrimaCode knows ease of deployment is also important to our customers, so it is now using Caphyon’s Advanced Installer to simplify the deployment of all our products. Advanced Installer provides our users with a cleaner, more intuitive installation process that adds significant improvements such as transparent bootstrapping of the .Net Framework and combining 32 and 64 bit installations into a single deployment package along with better management of potential firewall issues.

PrimaCode Technologies is software development company that specializes in new and innovative ways for land surveyors and other measuring professionals to be more productive while at the same time improving the defensibility of their work products.

Their lead programmer and owner, Dennis C. Drumm, is also a Professional Land Surveyor in the state of Massachusetts, has developed a number of proprietary software products that had originally been designed and intended only for use by his land surveying office.

After many years of being torn between his desire to practice land surveying and his desire to develop software that could also help other land surveyors, the latter finally won out.

Now he is leveraging his unique background in mathematics, computer science, computer programming, along with being a long-time land surveyor to make some of those proprietary software products available to the public.
