Obtain your FREE 30 day trial of Transform or UPGRADE to the most recent version:

• All trial and retail users of Transform versions 1.X.X are eligible for this upgrade

• The Microsoft .NET Framework version 2.0 must be installed before installing Transform.

• review the revisions for each different version of Transform.

Transform For Windows System Requirements

• A Pentium Processor

• 128 MB of RAM minimum

• Microsoft Windows 2000/XP/Vista

• Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or later (before installing .NET Framework)

• Microsoft .NET Framework version 2.0 (see below)

• Minimum screen resolution of 600 by 800 (1024 x 768 is preferred)

• Minimum color quality of 256 colors

• Windows 2000/XP/Vista administrative privileges for installation

• About 15 MB free disk space

• Retail license: An active internet connection during the initial registration process

• Trial license: An active internet connection each time the application is started

Verify the .NET Framework 2.0 is installed on your computer
  (the application & prerequisites download includes the .Net Framework 2.0)

1. From the Start Menu, click Control Panel
2. Double click the Add or Remove Programs Icon
3. Scroll the list of installed programs looking for "Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0"

Install Transform for Windows (see help for dial-up users)

1. See the special instructions below for downloading and installing Transform if you experience difficulties.
2. logon to your computer as an system administrator (not necessary for Windows Vista users)
3. verify that your computer is up-to-date with the most current Microsoft Windows Updates.
4. if the .Net Framework 2.0 is already installed, download setup_x86.exe.
5. if you need to also install the .Net Framework 2.0 download setup_full_x86.exe (includes .Net Framework 2.0).
6. On the File Download dialog, click the Save button
7. At the top of the "Save As" dialog, click the "Save In" dropdown box and select Desktop
8. Find the setup file on the desktop and double click it to start the installation process
9. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation process

Alternative for installing the .NET Framework 2.0 using Windows Update  (help for dial-up users)
 (the application & prerequisites download includes the .Net Framework 2.0)

1. See the special instructions below for downloading and installing Windows Updates.
2. Click Windows Update to open Microsoft's operating system update web site
3. Click the Custom button which starts a scan of your computer's installed components
   The scan first checks to see if your installer is up to date. If it is not, you
   will be required to install that update before any other updates are installed.
4. Once Windows Update has completed its scan of your computer, select Software, Optional in the left pane.
5. If you do not see Microsoft .Net Framework 2.0 in the list of optional software updates, then your computer
   is missing one or more high priority update such as Windows XP Service Pack 2. If this case you must install
   the list of High Priority updates by rerunning Windows Update until the Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0
   appears in the list of optional software updates. For Windows XP users this will include Service Pack 2.
6. Once Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 appears in the list of optional software updates, place
   a check mark in its box and then click the Install Updates link in the left column of the page.
7. Next click the Install Updates button which will display a new dialog box showing the download and install progress.
8. when complete, you may be prompted to restart your computer.
9. If you encounter problems installing the framework either contact PrimaCode or see the FAQ's for additional help.

Starting Transform for Windows the first time

1. Insure that your computer has an active internet connection (only needed once for retail versions).
2. Click the Windows Start button->All Programs->PrimaCode Transformation->Transform for Windows.
3. The first time Transform is started, you will be presented with a Product Activation dialog.
4. Fill in the product registration information. Leave the activation key blank for trial installations.
5. Retail users copy and paste the activation code your received from PrimaCode into the activation code box
6. Click either the Register Trial button or Register Retail button, depending on if you have an activation key.
7. If activation is completed successful, a license file specific to your computer will be placed in a public folder for Transform.
8. Thereafter, retail users can run Transform without an active internet connection, trial users will need an active internet connection.
9. Activation sends your user information to PrimaCode's server, so if your firewall blocks the registration process, activation will fail and Transform will not start. If that happens, you will need to configure your firewall to temporarily allow Transform access to the internet.

Transform License Manager:

Transform has a built in license manager that works in concert with PrimaCode's server to manage trial and retail activations. If you experience difficulties activating the software for any reason, please contact PrimaCode for assistance. While activation of the retail product requires an active internet connection, thereafter it can be used without one.

Special instructions for downloading and installing Windows Updates and Transform for Windows

if you encounter problems downloading Windows Updates or Transform's setup program, please try the following:

• Check your security settings in the Windows Control Panel's Internet Options  to make sure they are no higher than Medium. Alternatively, you can add http://www.primacode.com to your Trusted Sites list and again, make sure the security settings are no higher than Medium.

•  You must be the Administrator or a member of the Administrators Group to download files. Please make sure that you are logged into your computer with administrative permissions.

• If you have a third party firewall installed on your computer, you will need to adjust the settings to allow you to download files from our site or temporarily disable the firewall. If your computer is behind a corporate firewall, this could also cause a problem. Since some file wall do not block ZIP files, you can also try download the ZIP file that contains Transform's setup file.

Before installing Windows Updates, make sure to disable any personal antivirus programs running on your computer. While this is generally not accepted practice, installing operation system updates directly from Microsoft can safely be considered an exception to that rule. If you do not disable antivirus programs, installing the Windows Updates (including Microsoft .Net Framework) can take unusually long periods of time and in some instances will make your computer appear to lock up. You easily verity that the system is not locked up by checking the CPU Usage using Windows Task Manager (ctrl-Alt-Delete, Task Manager, Performance Tab). If you already started the install without first disabling your antivirus program, do not interrupt the install process, it will complete eventually.
